Organized Simplicity

with one comment

Have you read Organized Simplicity? The book’s written by blogger Tsh Oxenreider of Simple Mom. Her book’s (and blog’s) goal is to help her reader’s find solutions to life’s everyday clutter and, in turn, reduce waste.

We’re all for de-cluttering and simplifying too. Those are fundamentals for reducing waste in the home. in.gredients can help those who want to simplify by starting in the kitchen: helping you remove packaging clutter overflowing from the trashcan and cupboards.

Some eco-friendly tips on simplifying via Tsh’s blog:

  • Don’t spend your money on processed food. While it may seem like some processed foods are cheaper, they don’t provide the nourishment you need, meaning you’re really paying and getting “nothing” in return.
  • Consider cloth diapers.
  • Create your own non-toxic cleaner. All you need is vinegar, baking soda, and a few drops of an essential oil.
  • Skip the ribbon on gift wrap and draw your own:

Tsh’s main site also has a Green & Frugal section with tips on how to live sustainably on a budget. Be sure to check out Simple Organic, too, for more tips.

We’re glad to see other people keeping it simple and sustainable while having fun through blogging!

  1. Wrap gifts, that you can, in old pretty magazine pages.
I mean, who keeps the wrapping after gift is open!?!
