It’s About Dialogue, Not Bias

with one comment

Some people eat meat. Some don’t. Some prefer drip coffee. Others use a press, others go straight-up espresso machine, and others don’t even like coffee. ALL have their reasons – very good ones, in fact. And we’re not about to challenge any of them on our blog.

We’ve been promoting and encouraging as much productive discussion on complex issues amongst our followers as possible. If done respectfully, everyone learns from discussion – about themselves, about others, and about the problems we all share as humans. Truth is, even the issues we’re confronting with our business model – the wastefulness of food packaging and our need for healthier, local food – don’t have one “right” answer or approach. in.gredients is a learning process for our team, our vendors, the industry as a whole, and our customers.

As a store, in.gredients promotes waste reduction and healthy living. We don’t formally align ourselves with any other specific ideology – that is, with any particular diet, lifestyle behavior, etc. We want to help our customers eat healthily, affordably, while reducing waste. We’ll sell meat for meat-eaters, vegan options for vegans, gluten-free options for those allergic to gluten, and help as many of you as possible live healthily while in line with your goals.

If you see any content on our blog you feel is inappropriate, contains bias that’s unrelated to our mission, or doesn’t align with our goal for respectful discussion, please let us know immediately. We appreciate the help!
