It’s been hot here in Austin lately and most of the time we do our best to keep cool, but this round of weekly specials turns up the heat! Speaking of heat, we had a great weekend with our friends from Bike Austin during their Hottest Day of the Year Ride last Saturday, with 80+ riders joining together to brave the sweltering afternoon sun.  Check out the event album here.

Weekly Recipe

Spicy Breakfast Bagelini Recipe
As we mentioned up top, the Spicy Breakfast Bagelini is a customer favorite. For the last 3 years it has been one of our best selling sandwiches, and after chatting with our friends over at Goodseed, we all agreed the start of year 4 is the perfect time to share our recipe with the world.


  • 2 Fresh Bagels
  • 1 pack of Goodseed Spicy Italian Breakfast Patties (2 count)
  • 1/4 of an Onion (Red, White or Yellow)
  • 4 Tomato Slices
  • 4 Slices of Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 dollops Hummus of your choice
  • Olive Oil
  • Optional Garnish (Cilantro, Parsley, Basil, Bell Peppers, Sweet Peppers)

  1. Place chopped onions in a sauce pan with oil on medium until soft. Break up and mix the Goodseed Patty in with Onions, raise heat to high and stir occasionally.
  2. Slice bagels in half and lay down open faced. Place one slice of Cheddar cheese on two of the bagel halves.
  3. Once patties are cooked, remove from pan and spoon onto bagel evenly until you run out.
  4. Place tomato slice on top of patties along with any garnish or seasoning you’d like.
  5. Finally, add another slice of Cheddar and smear hummus on the other half of the bagel. Place hummus side on top.

Either eat it cold or toast it in the oven. Enjoy!

Goodseed Burger started in 2009 as Goodseed Organic, an organic food trailer in south Austin. Owners Oliver Ponce and Erin Shotwell set out to provide the purest sourced nutrient dense alkaline meals using whole foods and super foods. With influences from macrobiotic cooking, ayurverdic cooking, and alkaline foods, and a passion for the purest sourced ingredients the original hemp burger was born. As Goodseed progressed so did the hemp burger as it soon became the most highly requested item on the menu.
